Andre Baruch is an educator, performer, and arranger. In 2008, he got his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Ithaca College, where he studied saxophone with Dr. Steven Mauk. From 2008-2010, he performed on saxophone, flute, and clarinet around the world on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Azamara Cruises. Since 2010, he has been working in the Emerson Public Schools in Emerson, NJ, where he is teaching Elementary Instrumental lessons, Band, and Jazz Band in addition to directing the Pit Orchestra and assistant directing the Marching Band at the High School.
As a performer, Andre Baruch is well versed in many different styles ranging but not limited to jazz, classical, concert and chamber music, pit orchestra, rock, funk, and r&b. As an educator, he is dedicated to teaching the stylistic integrity of different genres as well as tone production, technique, musicality, and improvisation. Andre Baruch's arrangements range from elementary band and jazz band to professional jazz combo and big band.
